The process for obtaining your medical marijuana certification is very simple, however, you must apply for your card through the MMCC website prior to being eligible as a patient. The website for registering for your card is https://mmcc.health.maryland.gov/Registry/RegisterPatientCG.aspx?id=2.
The process for obtaining your card takes about 2-6 weeks for approval from the state. Please begin this process as soon as possible.
As part of the application, you will need a copy of your Maryland license or ID as well as a picture of yourself. PLEASE FOLLOW DIRECTIONS FOR SUBMITTING YOUR PICTURE CLOSELY…THIS IS THE PART THAT SLOWS DOWN THE APPLICATION PROCESS.
There is a $50.00 charge for your MMCC card application. Once your application is submitted, make sure you go to your email inbox and verify the email they send in order to complete your application. Once you obtain approval from MMCC, they will send you a MMCC ID number which is what I need in order to certify you as an active patient.
The MMCC card will expire after 3 years. The cost of the initial consultation and assessment is $125.00 The cost to renew your certification is $65.00
